Week 14 was status quo in terms of how training went. Strength training is going great and increasing while running isn’t blah, blah, blah you know the usual for me by now. The only day I had a chance to really had a chance to go for a run I had a bit of a head knock and wasn’t feeling great. As someone who has suffered through numerous concussions in the past and has probably made one or two past ones worse by going hard to early I felt like I should take it easy and not try to get my long run finished, so rested feeling better and know I really need to turn it around this week. With the way running is going I wish TMX was more widespread and had an event locally as that seems to be what I’m best suited for right now.
This week my focus is to get my running back going and up to where I want, although I know with how that’s been going I will probably writing about that next week and then circling the drain until I’m unhappy with my X Warrior result in 5 weeks if I don’t really get my ass in gear. So gut check time.

Workout song of the week is going back to my time living in New Zealand and one of my favorite artists out of Aotearoa. I use this song while running as the rhythm matches up well with my running and always put me in a better mood, so I like when it comes on in the long stages of those training sessions. Plus, it’s pretty long so that helps too.
