Weekly Training Post: Week 7 2018

4-0-300 Blog 063

While not being my best week of training it certainly was my most fun so far. I was able to get all my strength sessions in with my heart rate in my target base building zone. I wasn’t able to get any training runs in, mostly schedule with kids being off school a couple of days for Teacher’s Convention, if I continue to not be able to get afternoon runs done I may have to switch back to post work late night runs. We did take the kids up to Big Fun Play which let me get my inner child out and play, climb, slide, crawl, run around, jump all of which lead to a great workout while not feeling I was (much like running an OCR) so I know that day was probably my most beneficial for training. Reading Primal Endurance this kind of training is actually really highly encouraged so you can avoid burning out, I know for me it works quite well.

The plan this week is to focus on getting my runs done although I know my first run of the week already has a scheduling conflict, so I’ll have to work around that.  Other than that, it’s pretty much status quo this week in terms of amount of sessions, just stepping it up a little in terms of amount of weight and length in the workouts.

Are you wanting to run the X Warrior Challenge Stadium Sprint but don’t want to run alone or want to extra swag for running but still be able go solo?  Sign up as a team member and enter the team name “The 4-0-300 Army” or if you already signed up as an individual comment below and I’ll show you how to switch from “Individual” to “Team” it’s really pretty easy.

Until next time.
